Dane County Will Offer Free Compost On May 12th

Today Dane County Executive Parisi announced Dane County will open the Verona compost site for one more day now that the weather has improved to help backyard gardeners and growers get ready for another growing season.

 

Free compost will be available Saturday May 12th from 8 AM to 4 PM.

 

The county will offer one load of free compost for residential use per person, per day.  The volume of compost available is limited to the in-stock quantity, and quantities may run out before the end of the day.

Location:  Adjacent to the east side of the closed County Landfill in Verona. Same entrance as Badger Prairie Health Care Center (1100 E Verona Ave), and then follow the gravel road to the right.
