Parking Expansion Construction Project Begins
Airport Parking Availability Tightens -- Allow Extra Time

Madison, WI -- The parking expansion construction project is creating high demand for parking at the Dane County Regional Airport.

The ramp and adjoining surface lot, nearest to the terminal, will reach full capacity at times during this period.  Customers need to allow extra time for parking.

Travelers are advised to arrive at least two hours prior to flight departure time allowing extra time for parking and security screening.

Signage as you approach the airport will provide up-to-date parking availability.  In addition, live updates will be available by Twitter @MSN_Airport.

A free shuttle bus operates between the Economy Lot and the Terminal Building from 4 a.m. until the last flight arrives at night.

"DCRA is a key contributor to our local economy, and when our airport expands you know great things are happening in our region,” said Parisi. “The growth of local high-tech companies, combined with the Dane County Regional Airport’s growing list of 12 direct flights to locations across the country has helped increase ridership and demands for parking."

The first phase of the project will add three additional floors onto the airport’s existing covered parking ramp, resulting in more than 1,600 new spaces.

The extra spaces will be ready for use by the end of the year. Spots will remain available in the covered ramp throughout construction.

The expansion will bring the DCRA’s covered parking capacity to 3,489 spots.
