The Dane County Sheriff’s Office is encouraging citizens from the Town of Dunkirk and the City of Stoughton to attend a Community Notification Meeting on the release of Alfred Riley.

A core team evaluates and makes decisions on the level of notification to the community for the release of sex offenders under Wisconsin Statutes 301.45 and 301.46.  The Core Team will be holding a Community Notification meeting on June 26that 6:30 pm.  The meeting will be held at the Stoughton Fire Department Training Room located at 401 E. Main Street in Stoughton.  The Core Team will offer information about the Community Notification Law and the release of Alfred Riley. His photo will be provided at the meeting, as well as more detailed information on his offenses.

Authorities will also provide citizens with information about protective behaviors and personal safety.  Alfred Riley is not wanted by authorities at this time, and this information is not intended to increase fear, but rather inform the public.  Citizen abuse of this information to threaten, intimidate, or harass registered sex offenders will not be tolerated.
