DCRA Celebrates Record-breaking May 2013
Best Ever May Passenger Traffic

Madison, WI – The Dane County Regional Airport marked its best month of May traffic numbers in history with passenger traffic surging 12.1 percent in the month compared to 2012. In May, 74,264 passengers flew out of Madison.  The airport’s second best May ever was in 2006 with 69,879 passengers.

“Our Dane County Regional Airport continues to be a high-quality, convenient experience in the county and throughout our region,” said Dane County Executive Joe Parisi.  “These record breaking numbers prove that more people are choosing to travel with us.  That means great things for our airport, its guests, and our local economy.”

In addition, year-to-date traffic at DCRA is up 7.5 percent in comparison to 2012 for the same period.

“Madison customers can enjoy upgraded service to thirteen major airline hubs,” said Bradley Livingston, AAE, Airport Director. “Flights to these key hubs mean convenient one-stop service to worldwide destinations for south central Wisconsin.”

Most recently, DCRA also announced daily non-stop service to Salt Lake City on Delta Air Lines.

The Dane County Regional Airport provides seamless, low-stress, and affordable options for both leisure and business travelers, with more than 90 daily arrivals and departures.  Non-stop service to thirteen cities including: Atlanta, Cincinnati, Dallas-Fort Worth, Denver, New York, Newark, Orlando, and Washington D.C., provides travelers with access to hundreds of worldwide destinations.
