Order Remains in Effect for Squaw Bay
Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk, Dane County Sheriff Dave Mahoney and Dane County Board Chair Scott McDonell announced today they are lifting a Slow/No Wake order that had been in effect for Lake Monona.
The order will be rescinded effective at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2010.
A Slow/No Wake order remains in effect for Squaw Bay on Lake Monona.
Lake Monona had been under a Slow/No Wake order since July 24th due to heavy rains. Recent drier weather has helped lake levels steadily decline.
Boaters are reminded that all lakes in the Yahara Chain have permanent, year-round 200-feet from shore slow/no wake restrictions.
