At 2:44 p.m., Dane County Sheriff’s deputies and Oregon Police, along with Oregon Fire and EMS, responded to the area of Lincoln Road and Tipperrary Road in the Town of Oregon, for a vehicle vs. bicycle crash.
Preliminary investigation indicates a vehicle traveling east on Lincoln Road struck the bicycle. The vehicle was driven by 20-year old male from Brooklyn. The 8 year-old female bicyclist was transported by med flight to an area hospital with serious injuries.
Lincoln Road remained closed from approximately 2:50 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
The crash remains under investigation by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office.
