The initial investigation indicates a 2000 Ford Taurus was traveling east on Highway 69-92 when it crossed over the westbound lanes and went into the north ditch line. As the Ford Taurus attempted to drive out of the ditch, it collided with a westbound 2005 Ford F150 driven by Curtis Salssaa, 40, of Argyle Wisconsin.
The driver and single occupant of the Ford Taurus, an 83 year-old female from Belleville, was pronounced dead at the scene. Salssaa was transported to a local hospital with a minor injury. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
Highway 69-92 was closed for approximately three hours. The crash remains under investigation. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
