Three Arrested Following Pursuit

Madison, WI: Sunday, May 24, 2009-At approximately 12:30 a.m. a Dane County Deputy and an officer from the Fitchburg Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle which matched the descripton of a vehicle being sought by the City of Madison Police for possible involvement in recent area shootings. The stop was initated in the area of Verona Road and McKee Road. The driver of the vehicle later identifed as Josh J. Jackson, age 22 from Fitchburg refused to stop. The entire pursuit lasted approximately ten minutes and traveled through Fitchburg, the City of Madison and the Town of Madison. The pursuit ended at a parking lot at 620 Badger Road, Town of Madison. A Town of Madison Police Officer had deflated three of the vehicles tires with the use of Road Spikes on West Badger Road just prior to the vehicle pulling into the parking lot. Jackson and the two passengers later identified as Kyle L. Parker, age 23 from Madison and Lildre S. Brown, age 20, from Madison fled from the vehicle. All three were apprehended by deputies and officers from Verona, Fitchburg, Madison, and the Town of Madison a short time later. All three were arrested and taken to the Dane County Jail. Jackson was tentatively charged with Eluding and Possession of Cocaine Base with Intent to Deliver, Parker with Possession of Cocaine Base with Intent to Deliver, and Resisting, and Brown with Possession of Cocaine Base, Resisting, and a Probation Hold.
