The Environment, Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee of the Dane County Board will hold its annual public hearing at 6:30 p.m., on Tuesday, October 5, 2010, in Room 354 of the City-County Building, 210 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Madison, WI  53703 .

The principal purpose of this hearing is to review current County programs in the areas of the environment, agriculture and natural resources, and to get comments on any additional concerns or interests in those areas from the public.  While budget-related questions are certainly in order, the entire County Board will hear from County departments at regularly scheduled budget hearings.

Dane County Environment, Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee oversees budgets for the following organizations:

·        Dane County University Extension

·        Dane County Land and Water Resources Department

The committee will also hear a presentation on the 2011 Lakes and Watershed Commission budget recommendations.

Comments on other issues currently before the Dane County Board, such the County Conservation Fund, and other planning, environmental, agricultural or natural resource issues, are also welcome.

The public and members of affected stakeholder groups are invited to attend.
