Information on Economic and Work Assistance, Services for Kids, Adults Included in Three Languages Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk announced today the availability of a new resource guide to help connect families with important county services for kids and adults. The new publication from the Dane County Human Services Department offers important contact information for those with questions about finding jobs, economic assistance, and mental health concerns along with services for seniors and the disabled. The guides, which are printed in English, Spanish and Hmong, also include contacts to use to report cases of either child or elder abuse. “This publication will make it easier for families to get connected to important Dane County services,” Falk said. “It’s full of important information and phone numbers to make sure people, whether young or old, are able to take advantage of the wonderful programs offered by our County Human Services Department.” The resource guides talk about the services offered by each of the divisions within the Human Services Department. Additional information is also offered about important county programs like Joining Forces for Families and the Early Childhood Initiative, developed by County Executive Falk, that help meet the needs of families. People interested in the guides can pick them up at any Dane County Human Services office. They can also be requested by calling 242-6200 or by visiting: www.danecountyhumanservices.org # # #
