Dane County to Ease Slow, No Wake on Lake Mendota

Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk, Sheriff Dave Mahoney, and County Board Chairman Scott McDonell announced today the “Slow No Wake” order in effect for Lake Mendota will now only be in effect within 500-feet of shore. The full “Slow No Wake” order remains for Lakes Monona and Waubesa along with the Cherokee Marsh. A 500-foot “Slow No Wake” remains for Lake Kegonsa. The 500-foot “Slow No Wake” takes effect on Lake Mendota at 5:00 p.m., Thursday July 24th. ####
