Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk has appointed Rodney Knight, deputy corporation counsel, as interim corporation counsel. He replaces long-time Dane County Corporation Counsel Cal W. Kornstedt, who announced his retirement effective last Thursday, citing health reasons. Knight, 49, has served in the Dane County Corporation Counsel’s office since 1986, and was named deputy, the number two person in the office, in 1990. “I am sure I speak for all of us in thanking Rodney for being willing to take on this important and demanding task,” Falk said in a memo announcing the appointment to members of the Dane County Board of Supervisors. Falk said she will be furnishing more information about the job search for the position in the near future. # # #
