Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk has appointed Mickey Beil as Dane County's Legislative Lobbyist. She had been serving as interim lobbyist since April 2001. "In the Legislature, she has a sterling reputation for her work," said Falk. "She works well with members of both parties, and is used to lobbying on difficult issues that are especially important to both the state's and Dane County's budgets," said Falk. For 12 years, Beil was a lobbyist for the Milwaukee Public School System. Prior to that time she was a Government Relations Administrator for the Illinois Nurses Association, and lobbied the Illinois General Assembly. Among her professional and community activities, she was chairperson of the City of Milwaukee Commission on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. As Dane County's lobbyist, Beil will serve as the county's liaison with state, federal and local governments. Her salary was set at $72,000. Her contract will be introduced at the October 18 meeting of the County Board and will be voted on at a later meeting.Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk has appointed Mickey Beil as Dane County's Legislative Lobbyist.
