Because our kids are worth it

Sign your name here to demand action from Governor Walker and Speaker Ryan

Child hugging parent Dane County joins the nation in once again grieving the senseless loss of children to yet another gun massacre. The troubling pictures of broken hearts mourning lives and futures lost have become all too common in our country. Together, as a county, state and nation our message to policymakers is clear: enough is enough. Congressional and state inaction to protect our children, our families, our schools, our churches and our communities is inexcusable. Words of delay have resulted in the same recurring outcome; more devastated lives and communities left marked with indelible wounds.

We are asking Governor Walker to call a special session of the Wisconsin State Legislature and Speaker Ryan to call Congress to session to pass common sense reforms:
  1. Mandatory universal background checks
  2. Assault weapon ban
  3. Ban aftermarket devices (bump stocks) that allow you to modify your gun into a rapid fire weapon
  4. Keep men who are subject to domestic violence protection orders from having guns
Child hugging parent Elected officials have a responsibility to represent the interests of those they serve. They have a duty to act, make change, and fix systems that fail. Current gun policies continue to fail, with irreparable consequence.

Governor Walker. Speaker Ryan. We ask you to fix this system for our kids. They’re depending on it.

Please sign your name to demand action of our elected officials to take action to protect our children, schools and communities from gun violence. Because our kids are worth it.

Joe Parisi's signature. Dane County Executive
